Creating a news

We will now create a news to inform our visitors about this new report. So click on the Content tab and then on the News sub-menu. It immediately proposes you to create a new one, good as it is what we want to do. Select the category in which to put the news. Here we chose the News category, the format will be Wiki and the status of the news will be in edition.

Status of the news and articles

You can chose different status depending of your work on the news. The status are:

In edition
When you are working on it, you want to be able to come the next day and keep working on it without showing it on-line. This is the default status of the news and articles.
Waiting for validation
Depending of your rights you may be enable to validate an article or a news to be put on-line. So you select this status and a supervisor will review your contribution and validate it or not.
On-line
When the article or the news is available on the website.
Off-line
These are for resources you are not working on but you want to keep them as maybe one day, you will work on them again.

A news with a link to a document

As we spent the time to add a document to the website, we will create this news that link to it. Just put in a title, some keywords and a content. When you are happy with all that, click on the Insert an image or a file link. A pop-up will show up.

What you see should remind you of the previous step when you have added a document. At the bottom you can see a link to access the reports folder. Click on it.

You can see now your report with the nice pdf icon. Just click on the icon and a little pop-up will ask you a title for this document.

Document title

Put a title and press Ok. The pop-up will close, and you can see that the content of the news has been updated.

Link to a file

Now you can click on the Save or Visualize button. You can now see the news with the link to the news. If you want to have it available on line for your visitors save it again with the On-Line status. You are at that time sent back to the list of news.
