Files or images management

In the Content tab it is possible to click on the files or images sub-menu. What you see here is a mini file manager. You can create subfolders of your documents folder - by default /xmedia/ - and you can upload files into the folders.

This is very practical, for example you create a subfolder reports and then you upload there your last report.

Create a subfolder

When you create the subfolder you are immediately moved into it. You can then browse for a file and upload it. When it is uploaded you can see it in the interface. If this is an image, the system try to create a thumbnail of it, as it helps to remember which image is about, if it can't create a thumbnail, you see a nice icon.

It is highly recommended to create subfolders and correctly organized your documents else you will end up by having a lot of documents in one folder and it will be hard for you to find the document you are looking for when including it in your articles or news.

When you are writing an article, the system remembers in which folder you were the last time and proposes it again the next time.
